All The Tears In Texas
I've put all your things in a cardboard box
I haven't changed address but I've changed the locks
You can keep the key,
It don't matter to me
Just take your jeans and lying socks and leave.
You could cry all the tears in Texas
but I ain't your other exes
Ignorance may well be bliss
but I won't waste my time wit this
I know, I know, I know
You could cry all the tears in Texas
but this ain't no battle of the sexes
Crocodile tears might come quick
but baby they won't do the trick.
Just go, just go, just go
You can get your things whenever it suits
I haven't got your brains but I've got your books
You can come tonight
Or whenever you like
Just take your heart and lying looks, bye bye
You could cry all the tears in Texas
but I ain't your other exes
Ignorance may well be bliss
but I won't waste my time wit this
I know, I know, I know
You could cry all the tears in Texas
but this ain't no battle of the sexes
Crocodile tears might come quick
but baby they won't do the trick.
Just go, just go, just go
Damage is done,
you're real TNT
so don't bother come beggin' to me
no don't bother come beggin' to me
You could cry all the tears in Texas
but I ain't your other exes
Ignorance may well be bliss
but I won't waste my time wit this
I know, I know, I know
You could cry all the tears in Texas
but this ain't no battle of the sexes
Crocodile tears might come quick
but baby they won't do the trick.
Just go, just go, just go

Here Lies A Man
I married a liar when I was twenty two,
He was crossing his fingers as he said ‘I do’
And he kissed the bride with his tall telling tongue
And then he carried me out as the church choir sung
Our future was set, well that’s what I thought
It didn’t take long until that liar was caught
Here lies a man and he ain’t even dead
He’s just weaving a tale like a black widow’s web
And he wouldn’t know the truth if it bit his back side
That pretty little liar sure took me for a ride
That pretty little liar is rotten inside.
I married a liar and I took his last name
I was wearing white and my whole family came
Mama gave her blessing, Daddy gave a cheque
We left for our honeymoon and flew to Quebec
Our future was certain, if only I knew
That husband of mine was too good to be true
Here lies a man and he ain’t even dead
He’s just weaving a tale like a black widow’s web
And he wouldn’t know the truth if it bit his back side
That pretty little liar sure took me for a ride
That pretty little liar is rotten inside.
I divorced a liar and I dropped his last name
And I took half his money, it’s only fair game
Here lies a man and he ain’t even dead
He’s just weaving a tale like a black widow’s web
And he wouldn’t know the truth if it bit his back side
That pretty little liar sure took me for a ride
That pretty little liar is rotten inside.
He was crossing his fingers as he said ‘I do’
And he kissed the bride with his tall telling tongue
And then he carried me out as the church choir sung
Our future was set, well that’s what I thought

Rum and Rain
This storm’s along time coming
I can see the neighbors running
The weatherman said it would last all night
I try to call your number
But another roll of thunder
Makes me drop my phone and shake with the freight.
And as I start to hold my breath
That you’re not out there catching death
A knock comes gently to the door.
In you walk
Drenched in rum and rain
Too cold to talk
And too drunk to know my name
But I’m just glad
You’re not lying in a drain
It’s not too bad
That smell of rum and rain.
These winds are getting stronger
And the rolls a little longer
And the electric just ain’t worth a damn
I’m glad you’re here beside me
Just cuddled to me tightly
There’s nothing quite like lying with your man
In you walked
Drenched in rum and rain
Too cold to talk
And too drunk to know my name
But I’m just glad
You’re not lying in a drain
It’s not too bad
That smell of rum and rain.
The sun’ll come out and your head’ll be sore
And we’ll laugh about things like we’ve done before
But we’ve got tonight to get through
And that rain has got you wet through
You know I really love you.
In you walked
Drenched in rum and rain
Too cold to talk
And too drunk to know my name
But I’m just glad
You’re not lying in a drain
It’s not too bad
That smell of rum and rain.
Girls In Glass Houses
You think you know what I should do,
You say you saw it on The View
But your advice falls on deaf ears,
I'll wash it down with a few beers
and I'll do whatever I choose,
my happiness is mine to lose.
Girls in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
'cause they'll break a window and let in the cold
Girls in glass houses get off your soapbox
Girls in glass houses please put down your rocks
You tell me that I'm wasting time
but when you do you're wasting mine
You know that I don't give a damn
I chose to be the girl I am
Girls in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
'cause they'll break a window and let in the cold
Girls in glass houses get off your soapbox
Girls in glass houses please put down your rocks
If you looked in the mirror
I'm sure you would see
The girl with the problem doesn't look like me
If you looked in the mirror
You'd get a clue
That the girl with the problem's a deadringer for you
Girls in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
'cause they'll break a window and let in the cold
Girls in glass houses get off your soapbox
Girls in glass houses please put down your rocks
You say you saw it on The View
But your advice falls on deaf ears,

Old Familiar Locket
Grandma's Sunday best
was a locket on her chest
that her husband gave to her a long time ago
And grandma wore it proudly
and told stories of it loudly,
she made sure not one person didn't know.
That old familiar locket,
I keep it in my pocket
and rub it when I need a little luck
but I'm so scared I'll lose it
that I barely ever use it
and I guess that's why I'm running low on luck
Grandma wore it well,
with every story she'd tell
we'd fall in love with that locket once again
And grandpa really meant it
in the letter that he sent it,
He'd be with her until the bitter end.
That old familiar locket,
I keep it in my pocket
and rub it when I need a little luck
but I'm so scared I'll lose it
that I barely ever use it
and I guess that's why I'm running low on luck
And grandma always wore it
'til the accident that tore it
from her neck and took her life away.
Grandma I've still got it,
that old familiar locket
and it reminds me of you every single day.
And who needs luck anyway?
